He is the horse that can go to a dressage clinic or to a show at the last minute, come back home, hang his ribbons on his stall and be saddled up for a trail ride.
Bert is the horse that everyone can ride without worry. He is the one that you put the kids on who have never ridden a horse at the Sunday School picnic, or the horse to take out when you need an extra mount for a riding lesson. Bert is the the one you turn the young colts out with to teach them manners, and trust your own youngsters with to take their first ride. Although a little grayer than he was when he first came home to be Jack's horse over twenty years ago, Bert is still the horse everyone remembers--from the USDF Gold Medallist whom he cliniced under in his younger days to folks who still marvel at the little Morgan with the BIG trot. |

Bulo Dakota King, affectionately known as "Bert", is one of those Morgans that defines what a Morgan should be. Bert isn't a World Champion Reiner (although he has occasionally made a point to keep our steers in line if needed). He isn't a Grand Prix Dressage horse (but he has performed a "9" medium trot in his younger days). Bert has never gone Park, he isn't a National Champion halter horse worth tens of thousands of dollars. Bert is a Morgan horse that is worth much more than that.
