Gladheart Camas is a sweet, uncomplicated mare who is trusting and adapts to new experiences well. A quick study and remarkably unflappable, "Camy" is often eager to investigate and explore new "toys"--whether they are black plastic drainage
pipes (she likes to drag them around her outside pen for fun), white plastic feed sacks or old tires. She is always willing and eager to please, and has taken to her groundwork (saddle/bridle, side-reins and long-lining) extremely well.
Camas carries a rich heritage both from her mother Gladheart Sonata (daughter of Grand National Reining Champion Whippoorwill Newmoon and half-sister to USDF 2009 All-Breeds Reserve Champion Gladheart Linhawk) as well as through her sire who has added the blood of the renown driving horse Kennebec Count. She is developing forward, open movment at all three gaits.
Camas will continue to be trained and handled in preparation for work under saddle. Now a three-year-old, Camas is growing into an elegant mare at or close to 15 hands and will be a great partner at almost any thing her owner would like to try. These pictures and the video were taken when she was only two years of age. Please contact us for more information.
