Gladheart Charbonneau ("Bo") is our second foal by Whippoorwill Aristocrat out of Gladheart Sonata. Like his full-brother, Gladheart Santiam, "Bo" is a correct, elegant colt with the conformation and natural balance that will serve him well as a sport horse.

Bo's pedigree is rich in horses that have excelled in open competition. His full brother has begun his dressage career after only six months under saddle with scores of 64% and 65% at Training Level and winning High Point Morgan at his first show. Their sire, Whippoorwill Aristocrat, was successfully shown in Open Dressage Competition through Third Level.

Bo's dam, Gladheart Sonata is by the National Champion Reiner, Whippoorwill Newmoon and is a half sister to AMHA Dressage Bronze Medallion recipient, Gladheart Linhawk. Bo is a well-bred, correct gelding that already demonstrates spring and expression in both the his trot and canter. He has a very sweet, calm disposion.

Gladheart Charbonneau takes his name in honor of Jean Baptiste Charbonneau--the son of Sacagawea and youngest member of Lewis and Clark Expedition.
